The Martyn Family Foundation was founded on the belief that people suffering from mental illness deserve the best treatment based in care, respect, compassion, love, and support. Those suffering from mental illness require special attention, and developing better treatments requires experts, researchers, and supporters coming together with a shared vision of helping people lead happier, healthier lives.

The Foundation’s mission is to support a higher level of care and treatment through educating, raising awareness, and facilitating the connections and financial support that will encourage advancements and a higher quality of mental health care.

We utilize our resources to facilitate and expand the education of decision makers and influencers of all types, including practitioners, caregivers, politicians, and community service leaders.

“In the past 40 years, through education and awareness, the stigma associated with mental illness has lessened. The opportunity for expanded compassion and support for those families and loved ones suffering with this illness is still vast. As a community, it is our responsibility to assist in the pursuit of better care and treatment for those in need. We cannot allow the stigma to cripple the positive outcomes that together we can create”.
